To issue visa waivers to individuals holding a Virgin Islands Passport under the Visa Waiver initiative.
Process
Step 1: Customer obtains an application for a police certificate, fills out form and takes form along with required document to Road Town Police Station Administration Front Desk staff.
Step 2: Staff reviews application form and documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Step 3: Fee is collected by staff and a receipt is given to the customer.
Step 4: Application is forwarded to the Administration Section and recorded in the Visa Waiver Register.
Step 5: Application is signed, date stamped and assigned a serial number.
Step 6: Memo and application are forwarded to the Intelligence Unit, where the records are checked.
Step 7: Checks are made with Homeland Security.
Step 8: Application is returned to Administration, logged in Waiver Log and if approved, the Waiver is prepared with Seal affixed.
Step 9: The Visa Waiver is then forwarded to the Commissioner of Police or designate for signature.
Step 10: Waiver is returned to Administration and is copied for files.
Step 11: Administration contacts customer to arrange for collection.
Step 12: Customer (or proxy with a letter) returns with receipt and signs for and collects Waiver.
