Government Seeks Quotations For Supply Of Office Furniture

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting quotations for the Supply and Installation of office furniture for the first, second and third floors of the RFG Place Building, Road Town, Tortola.

Procurement Coordinator Mrs. Ishma Rymer said the invitation to tender is open to any qualified and suitable individual, company, or joint venture registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Mrs. Rymer said, “Sufficient company information demonstrating the bidder’s capability to perform the contract must be submitted with the bid.  Such information should include, but not be limited to, details of the Bidder’s track record and history of contract disputes, if any.  Failure to provide such information may result in your bid not being considered.”

All bids including annexes and all supporting documents must be submitted via hard copy. Please send all documents to the Chairman, Central Tenders Board, at:

Bidders must submit one (1) original, three (3) copies and (1) flash drive of the complete bid package, including appendices and supporting literature.  The original bid and copies must be clearly marked accordingly, and all information must be legible.  In the event of conflict, the information provided in the original bid document shall prevail. 

Bidders must place the original and each copy in separate sealed envelopes.  Each envelope must be marked with the reference “PG/RFQ/2021/MOF/REF-16 – “Supply and Installation of Office Furniture for RFG Place Building”.  All envelopes must be placed in a single envelope, which must be clearly marked with the reference “PG/RFQ/2021/MOF/REF-16 – “Supply and Installation of Office Furniture for RFG Place Building” and “Not to be opened before the bid closing date Tuesday, 20th April, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.” 

All tenders are to be deposited in the “Tender Box” at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), Qwomar Trading Building No. 2, 2nd Floor, Blackburn Road, Waterfront Drive, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, by the bearer no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, April, 20 2021. Any bid received after the deadline date and time will be rejected.  Bids may be delivered between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday on a day that is not a public holiday in the British Virgin Islands.

Tenders Invited For Managing Of Jost Van Dyke Transfer Station

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for the managing of the Jost Van Dyke Transfer Station and providing hauling services for waste from JVD to the incinerator on Tortola.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said the proposed works include loading trash compactor and open-top roll on/off bins with residential, yard and other types of waste.  Transport of compactor bins from Jost Van Dyke to Tortola (round trip) via the provided barging service with a maximum of 4 bins per week – (once per week) and operate the facility 8 hours per day, four days per week.

 Eligible tenderers are required to submit Certificates of Good Standing from the Director of the Social Security Board, National Health Insurance, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, the Commercial Registry and other entity as outlined in the Tender Document. 

Tenderers must also provide proof of a valid Trade Licence for the specific type of work detailed in the tender document and proof of possession of the equipment required for the job, by submission of copy(s) of vehicles Registration or Insurance Certificate.  The required equipment must be in the British Virgin Islands at the time of the tender.

Tenderers must also provide a Tender Bond/Tender Security, not less than 1% of their bid price by way of a bank or accredited insurance company with their tender.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for the barging of waste from East End, Jost Van Dyke to West End, Tortola.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said the proposed works comprise of (1) Transporting trash compactor bins and (2) Transporting roll on/off bins containing bulky waste from East End, Jost Van Dyke to West End, Tortola once per week.

Eligible tenderers are required to submit Certificates of Good Standing from the Director of the Social Security Board, National Health Insurance, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, the Commercial Registry and other entity as outlined in the Tender Document.  Tenderers must also provide proof of possession of the minimum of a 100 ton barge required for the job. The required equipment must be in the British Virgin Islands at the time of Tender.

Tenderers must also provide a Tender Bond/Tender Security, not less than 1% of their bid price by way of a bank or accredited insurance company with their tender.

The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for the design and construction of basement parking and access road, design and construction of drainage, gates and exit doors at the Ralph T. O'Neal Administration Complex.

The proposed works are comprised of furnishing all plant, labour, equipment and materials; providing engineering designs and drawings of retaining walls; accessing road and drainage at areas that facilitate the construction of basement parking access on the West Atrium and modification of drainage on the East Atrium;

Works also include construction of retaining walls and roadway access of basement parking on the West Atrium in accordance with contractor designs; construction of drainage system to support the West Atrium basement parking in accordance with contractor designs; rerouting incoming main water supply to the Administration Complex; and allowing for connections to a next location and road reinstatement.

Additional works include: the construction of French drains on the East Atrium with connection to the main drainage system; supplying and installing garage doors for the two basement parking facilities; provision of finishes to the new basement parking inclusive of flooring, lighting and painting; and replacement of exit doors to the maintenance area of the basement on the East Atrium.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said, “Eligible tenderers are required to submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of the Social Security and Taxes including Payroll and Property Tax from BVI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance, Inland Revenue, the Commercial Registry, valid Trade Licence, detailed work programme showing the order in which the various sections of works are to be executed along with other documents as outlined in the tender document.”
