The Inland Revenue Department is reminding property owners in the Virgin Islands that in accordance with the Property Tax Ordinance, Cap 207 (as amended), Property Tax for the year is due and payable on September 1.

The Department of Agriculture is advising importers of live birds to complete the necessary animal import permit forms at the department. This is important in helping to stop the spread of the H5N1 Avian Flu or Bird Flu, and to safeguard the Territory.

The public is advised that the offices of the Ministry of Education and Culture located in the Central Administration Building will close from today Friday, July 31, at 1:00 p.m. through Friday, August 7.

The Water and Sewerage Department is informing the public that the road at the intersection of the Baughers Bay Road and the New Testament Church junction will be partially closed tomorrow Tuesday, July 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
