The Environmental Health Division is alerting the public that fogging will take place in Locality Eight which includes Brewer’s Bay and the surrounding areas beginning Monday, November 21. The area will be fogged nightly until the entire locality is completed.  Fogging is done between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., and on some mornings from 6:15 to 7:30 a.m. Persons with respiratory illnesses, particularly asthmatics, should leave the areas being fogged for at least one hour.

Residents are reminded that fogging provides temporary relief from mosquitoes. Householders and property owners are urged to continue to be vigilant and conduct weekly inspections around their homes and businesses to reduce mosquito breeding sites.   For further information on how to control the Aedes aegypti mosquito, telephone the Vector Control Unit of the Environmental Health Division at 468-5110.
