The Building Inspections Unit in conjunction with the Building Authority will be implementing a new permit application form to expedite the application process for building permits.
The new form will be introduced on June 10 and will require applicants to fill out one instead of the two forms required for building permits.
Director of the Public Works Department, Mr. Jeffrey M. Skelton stated, “The new form has been created and tailored to simplify the application/drawing submittal process. In the past, applicants were required to fill out two forms as part of the application process for a building permit.”
Mr. Skelton said persons interested in performing demolition works were required to fill out a separate form. The new form he added will incorporate all the services that are currently provided by the Building Inspections Units.
The Unit is accepting the new and old forms in its transition period between June 10 and July 10. However, effective July 11, only the new form will be accepted at the time of submission.
