An electronic portal that will facilitate the filing and management of court cases in the jurisdiction of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court will go live in mid-November.
The Court through the office of the Chief Justice will commence training for the E-litigation portal which will go live in the Territory soon.
The E-litigation Portal is a highly proven web-based application that will enable electronic filling and management of court cases with the jurisdiction of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, while providing ready access to Court users and all stakeholders to assigned services anytime, anywhere and on any device including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
The portal will be implemented within all Courts in the OECS Member States and Territories beginning with Saint Lucia, the Virgin Islands and Anguilla in phase one. The stakeholders within the Member states were consulted throughout the design, development and testing phases.
This new initiative will mean the improvement of the delivery of justice to all level of the Court throughout the OECS region, along with the reduction in operational costs all around and the efficiencies and convenience to be realised by the launch of the E-Litigation Portal.
The portal was developed by Crimson Logic Ltd. Headquartered in Singapore with a branch established in Trinidad and Tobago. The Online solution utilises CrimsonLogoic’s eJudiciary Accelerator (CLA) product.
The E- Litigation Portal will be officially launched on Monday, November 5 at the Commercial Court in Road Town at 3:30 p.m. Attendees will have an opportunity to get a hands-on demonstration of the E-Litigation Portal.
