The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for the Repairs to the Brewer’s Bay Community Centre, Brewer’s Bay, Tortola.

The proposed scope of works comprises of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with the repairs to the Brewer’s Bay Community Centre in Brewer’s Bay, Tortola, in accordance with drawings and specifications. Works include demolition, concrete and masonry works; roof, windows and doors; plumbing and electrical installation; and repairs to the basement.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said eligible tenderers are required to provide a detailed work programme and method statement showing the order in which the various sections of works are to be executed, the rates of progress, as well as list of similar projects completed within the past five (5) years and works in progress.

Mrs. Rhymer added that amongst other things, tenderers must also have a valid Trade Licence for the specific type of work detailed in the tender document and submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of the Social Security and taxes, including Payroll and Income Tax, from the Social Security Board, National Health Insurance and Inland Revenue.

Tender documents are available from Monday, 11th September, 2023 weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Documents will be sent to bidders electronically upon request to with the subject title Repairs to the Brewer’s Bay Community Centre, Brewer’s Bay, Tortola.

A virtual pre-tender meeting via WebEx is scheduled for Wednesday, 20th September, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. The access code and password will be provided prior to the meeting. This will be followed by a site visit. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original, three (3) copies and one (1) flash drive containing the bidder’s documents.  The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “COPIES”.  Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked Repairs to the Brewer’s Bay Community Centre, Brewer’s Bay, Tortola and addressed to:

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit)RFG Building, Road Town, Tortola, by the bearer not later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 17th October, 2023.  Tenders will not be received after the Tender Box is closed.

Tenders will be opened on Tuesday, 17th October, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, RFG Building, Second Floor.  Tenderers are invited to witness the opening via WebEx.  Tenderers will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening of Tenders.
