The public is notified that the Ministry of Health and Social Development will be carrying out works on the following community centres in the coming weeks:

Repairs to community centres across the Territory have been placed high on the agenda of the Ministry of Health and Social Development.

Nine Emergency Shelters in the Virgin Islands will be repaired to SMART standards to ensure resiliency for future weather events.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development begins renovating the North Sound Community Centre on Virgin Gorda.

Owners of vehicles and obstacles at the various community centres across the Territory are asked to have them removed by May 31.

The recently completed Community Centre and Emergency Shelter at Long Trench is expected to serve as a model for what needs to be done at other centres across the Territory.

Owners of vehicles parked on the premises of Government-owned community centres are asked to have them removed by October 12. 

Owners of boats and vehicles located on the premises of Government-owned community centres across the Territory are asked to have them removed immediately.

Residents of the BVI are being advised that all community centres are temporarily closed until further notice.

Owners of boats, trucking materials and trailers are asked to have these items removed from the Valerie O. Thomas Community Centre’s compound in Sea Cow’s Bay by June 23.
