In continuing on its mandate to enhance the infrastructure of the Virgin Islands, the Ministry of Communications and Works is undertaking several road improvement works including expansions on water and sewage mains.

The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) loan funded project continued with infrastructural rehabilitation works in Greenland, East End on August 14.

The rehabilitation works at Fortune Ghut are about 90 percent complete.

Seismic Engineers from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez (UPRM) are in the Territory to undertake maintenance works on a number of seismic and strong motion stations that are strategically located throughout the Territory.

Mr. Stoutt said, “The project is on the move. There are a number of activities on-going and there are more activities slated to start in the coming week or two. We are on track to having this project completed by the end of the year.”
