Mr. Colin Graham who served as Chief Fire Officer of the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service from 1985 to1989 will be laid to rest in the United Kingdom today, February 8.
The Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service has issued a strong reminder for persons to be vigilant of potential fire hazards and to dispose of their garbage at the incinerator in Pock Wood Pond.
After a week filled with events in observance of Fire Safety Awareness Week, the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service says it is pleased with the community support they received in response to efforts to highlight the importance of fire safety.
After an intense competition, Fire Officer #03, Romney Thomas captured the title of Champion of the Iron Man / Breathing Apparatus Endurance Competition, staged as part of activities in observance of Fire Safety Awareness Month.
The public is invited to the Iron Man / Breathing Apparatus Competition that will be held tonight Friday, October 7, at the Road Town Fire Headquarters starting at 7:00 p.m.
The public is invited to the Fire Safety Awareness Week Basketball match, “The People Against Fire”, on Thursday, October 6, 6:30 p.m. at the Belle Vue Basketball Court.
