The Government of the Virgin Islands has signed a contract for significant works on the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters Tender Bay.
Minister of Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating that this phase of enhancing and refurbishing the Fire Headquarters underscores the government's commitment to enhancing public safety and emergency response capabilities across the Territory.

The public is advised that the reopening of the Civil Registry and Passport Office today has been delayed until further notice, as teams work to remedy effects caused by the passage of Hurricane Ernesto.

Manager of the Public Estate Management Unit within the Office of the Deputy Governor Mr. Floyd Stoutt is featured as he held a walk-through with prospective contractors, to discuss the scope of works on the restoration of the Old Administration Building on Main Street, Tortola. The first phase of works will include the rehabilitation of the front-facing façade, including the replacement of structural support members and all metallic features to make these aspects safer for pedestrians and motor vehicles.

The public is advised that due to the recent update from the Department of Disaster Management, the intensity of the rainfall and the road situation report from the Public Works Department, all Government Offices are closed today, June 6, with the exception of essential services.
The public is notified that the Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed for the remainder of today Monday, 30th October due to technical difficulties.
