The public is advised of the restriction of visitation to Her Majesty’s Prison, the Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly, Virgin Gorda Elderly Home, Rainbow Children’s Home; Safe Haven Transition and other private residential facilities.
The Cabinet Office is notifying the public that Statutory Instruments No. 15 Public Health (Notifiable and Communicable Diseases) Regulations, 2020 and No. 16 Prison (Amendment) Rules, 2020 are now available for public information on the Virgin Islands Official Gazette website at https://eservices.gov.vg/gazette/.

Territorial Member Honourable Neville A. Smith handed over a cheque of $1,500.00 to Superintendent of Prison Mr. Verne Garde to assist in financing the Restorative Justice Programme at Her Majesty’s Prison.
We are happy to report that following the approval of the National Security Council, the remaining 10 inmates have returned safely to the Territory, today September 6, to continue serving their sentences at Her Majesty’s Prison Balsam Ghut following their temporary relocation to St. Lucia due to damage sustained to the prison facility caused by the passage of Hurricane Irma in 2017.
Following the approval of the National Security Council, a number of inmates have returned to the Territory, today 16 August, to continue their sentences in HM Prison Balsam Ghut following their temporary relocation to St. Lucia following the damage to the facility caused by Hurricane Irma last year.

Officers from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force and Her Majesty’s Prison were recognised and presented with long service medals at the official celebration of the Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.
