Architects preparing building plans for food handling establishments and food processing plants are urged to present detailed drawings and specifications on plumbing and liquid waste disposal when submitting plans for approval.

Community Meeting On Proposed Developments For Brandywine Bay

The Town and Country Planning Department is inviting the public to a community meeting on a planning application submitted for the development of Brandywine Bay. The purpose of the meeting is to encourage community participation and identify issues that should be addressed early in the planning process. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 21, at Brandywine Bay Beach at 6:00 p.m. 

Planning Requirements Waived For Placement Of Election Banners

GIS Day 2014: Discovering A World Through GIS

A scene from the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day public exhibit held on November 19 at the Central Administration Complex. GIS Day is observed annually by the Town and Country Planning Department, in conjunction with the National GIS Committee. This year’s event highlighted the use of GIS technology in various Government departments under the theme “Discovering a World through GIS: Health and Safety.

Legislation and Guidelines

The Town & Country Planning Department, Office of the Premier, is the government department charged with the mission for ensuring “the proper use and spatial development of the territory through integrated land use planning and management, and public education.” The legal instruments by which the department is guided are the Physical Planning Act 2004 and the Land Development Control Guidelines, 1972. These instruments make provision for:
