Premier, Dr. Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley, will lead a delegation to London to meet the new Minister for Overseas Territories, Mr. Stephen Doughty Member of Parliament, and others from across the new Parliament, to continue building a modern partnership with the United Kingdom based on mutual trust, respect, cultural understanding, and support.

HMS TRENT has departed the Virgin Islands after a busy few days assisting with the clean-up following Tropical Storm Ernesto.  

The Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade, Honourable Lorna Smith OBE, announced on Friday March 15, the successful completion of the first year of the UK-OT Illicit Finance Dialogue, which the Virgin Islands has co-chaired with the UK for the last twelve months.

Eleven (11) individuals are now registered as British Citizens after being previously naturalised as British Overseas Territories Citizens.

UK Minister Mike Freer MP, from the Ministry of Justice, visited the BVI between Sunday 5 to Tuesday 7 November. The purpose of the visit was for the Minister to see first-hand the opportunities and challenges in the BVI justice system, and to identify areas for further partnership with the UK

Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for the Ministry of Justice, Mike Freer MP, arrived in the BVI on Sunday 5 November for a two day visit. His responsibilities include Courts and Legal services, and this includes the Overseas Territories.
