Premier Dr. Natalio Wheatley will lead a delegation to Hong Kong, Macau, and Malaysia in February. The visit aims to strengthen relationships and promote the BVI’s financial services industry in the Asia-Pacific region. The delegation will also visit partner universities in the BVI’s Asia Abroad Programme and meet with university chancellors to discuss educational opportunities. The BVI’s post-COVID-19 strategy focuses on diversifying markets, products, and services in the region.

The public is notified that the Public Works Department will begin road resurfacing works on Fort Hill and along the Ridge Road in the vicinity of Matcha’s Bar to the Upper Room Church. The works are scheduled to be conducted for a period of fourteen (14) days, from 26th May through 8th June 2026. During this period, the road will be closed to the public daily from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

31 October 2025 Over 15,000 Book Enthusiasts Welcome MV Logos Hope During Highly Successful Inaugural Virgin Islands Visit The Premier’s Office reports a highly successful visit by MV Logos Hope, the world’s largest floating bookfair, to the Virgin Islands from 24-29 October 2025, where over 15,000 residents, including authors, seniors, and other book enthusiasts, seized the historic first opportunity to welcome the ship to the Territory.
The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands convened on 13th March 2025, with His Excellency the Governor, Mr. Daniel Pruce, chairing the meeting at the Premier's Conference Room. All Cabinet Members were present.
The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for asphalt paving and road markings on 9 miles of primary roads. The project includes milling, material supply, asphalt plant setup, equipment provision, and installation of road markings and studs, with the goal of achieving a 15-year lifespan for the roads.
The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports is encouraging public support for early childhood development during Early Childhood Awareness Week 2025, featuring daily spotlight videos on centres across the Virgin Islands. Parent workshops titled “Step it up: Early Intervention, Long Lasting Impact” will be held on May 27 at BFEC Primary in Virgin Gorda and on May 28 at ESHS Lecture Room 1 in Tortola, both from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Additionally, a panel discussion on early childhood will be streamed live tomorrow on the Government’s Facebook page at BVIGovernment.
The UK’s Anti-Corruption Champion, Baroness Margaret Hodge, is arriving in the British Virgin Islands today (22 September) to assess progress in implementing commitments on beneficial ownership registers.
