The Government of the Virgin Islands is pleased to announce that the transition to its newly redesigned government website has officially begun.
The updated site is now accessible to the public at gov.vg, offering a fresh, modern approach to how government services and information are delivered online.
This new website reflects the Government’s commitment to modernisation, accessibility, and transparency. It features a streamlined layout, simplified navigation, and a user-focused structure designed to improve how residents, businesses, and visitors interact with government information. Content is now organised around real-life needs and outcomes making it easier for users to understand services, complete tasks, and get the support they need, without having to navigate through complex departmental structures.
In addition to the visual and structural improvements, the site lays the groundwork for future enhancements, including more interactive tools, and eventually, online transactions for key services.
“This transition marks an important step forward in how we serve the public online. The redesigned website reflects our commitment to building a more accessible, user-friendly experience that meets the needs of the people and supports a more transparent and responsive government,” said Mrs. Skelton-Malone, Director of Information Technology.
To ensure a seamless transition, the current government website will remain active alongside the new one. Some services and information are still being migrated, but the public can begin exploring the redesigned site now and see the clear direction the Government is taking to improve service delivery across digital platforms.
This milestone is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing service quality, promoting accountability, and ensuring that the people of the Virgin Islands can access government support with greater ease and confidence.
