The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for road rehabilitation works at Prospect Reef, Tortola. The project includes demolition, excavation, site clearance, and the construction of concrete culverts, drainage, and pavement improvements. During the temporary road closure in Hodge's Creek, free transportation will be provided from June 11 to June 25 for residents in the East End and Paraquita Bay/Hodge's Creek areas. Pick-up and drop-off points are at Fine Foods Supermarket in Fat Hogs Bay and HLSCC in Paraquita Bay. Services will run three round trips daily, Monday to Friday, at 8:45 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 8:40 p.m., traveling via Ridge Road.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has officially submitted its Self-Assessment Report on the Implementation of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) Recommendations, marking a major milestone in governance reform. Premier Hon. Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley announced the report’s approval by Cabinet (April 30), tabling in the House of Assembly (May 6), and submission to the UK Minister (May 8). The report, alongside Governor Pruce’s Final Review, will inform the UK’s decision on whether to lift the Order in Council, which had threatened partial suspension of the Constitution in 2022.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting applications from qualified dental practitioners to serve on the Medical and Dental Council, which regulates and registers medical and dental professionals. Applicants must have at least three years of post-qualification experience. Council members serve up to three-year terms, with a two-term limit (excluding the Chief Medical Officer). Interested candidates must submit a Letter of Interest and CV by 30th May 2025.

Boating Accident Under Investigation (Marine Safety Investigation and Reporting Authority Emphasises Safety at Sea) The Marine Safety Investigation and Reporting Authority (MSIRA) is investigating a boating accident that took place in the North Sound area of Virgin Gorda, near Gun Creek, at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, 18 October 2025. The Authority is again emphasising the importance of safe navigation, especially at night.

The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Climate Change is inviting quotations from qualified bidders to provide auditing services for the RESEMBID project, aimed at strengthening the Virgin Islands’ water quality monitoring programme. Quotations must be submitted via email in a non-editable format by 4:30 p.m. on 23rd June 2025. The Ministry is not obligated to accept the lowest bid and may reject any or all submissions without explanation. At Seatrade Cruise Global 2025 in Miami (7–10 April), Minister for Communications and Works Kye M. Rymer led a multi‑agency BVI delegation that met with cruise‑industry leaders to reinforce existing ties and forge new partnerships. Emphasising sustainability and the Territory’s distinctive appeal, the team joined workshops on emerging trends and strategies, aiming to secure long‑term growth for the Virgin Islands’ cruise sector. Deputy BVI Ports Authority head Dean Fahie said the productive talks will spur mutual success for the Territory and its cruise partners, positioning the BVI for a greener, more competitive future in global cruising.
