The Customs Automated Processing System (CAPS) will undergo a scheduled migration beginning Friday, 21st November 2025 at 4:30 PM. During this period, the system will be offline and unavailable to importers and brokers, with access expected to resume on Monday, 24th November 2025 once works and testing are completed. In the meantime, all Trader Declarations (TDs) must be submitted manually using the HMC‑12‑2024 Version 2 Form. Please note that the current CAPS submission link (https://www.bvicaps.gov.vg/CAPSWeb/Login.jsp) will be discontinued from Friday, 21st November 2025. The new link (https://caps.gov.vg/CAPSWeb/TraderLogin.jsp) will serve as the official platform for all future declaration submissions.

The Government of the Virgin Islands (GoVI) currently holds fifteen standard loans with four creditors: three domestic (CIBC Caribbean, Republic Bank, and the Social Security Board) and one external (Caribbean Development Bank). Domestic debt totals $71.77 million (47.1% of total debt), while external debt with CDB accounts for $80.49 million (52.9%). Most of the debt (79.2%, or $120.62 million) carries floating interest rates, primarily with SSB, CIBC, and CDB, while the remaining 20.8% ($31.64 million) is fixed-rate debt held across all creditors.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting applications for one position on the Financial Services Complaints Tribunal. The selected member will investigate complaints, mediate disputes between clients and financial service providers regulated by the FSC, and ensure fair business practices. Applicants must reside in the Virgin Islands, have at least seven years of professional experience, meet FSC fit and proper requirements, and demonstrate sound judgment. Applications, including a cover letter, résumé, and required disclosures, must be submitted by June 30 via email to mfseddt@gov.vg.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for the rental and operation of heavy equipment at the Pockwood Pond and Virgin Gorda dumpsites. Contractors must provide equipment listed in the Schedule of Requirements, operated for a minimum of 8 hours daily, with immediate replacement in case of breakdowns. Tenderers must submit proof of equipment ownership and trained personnel based in the BVI, details of relevant experience, valid certificates of good standing, and a 2025 trade license if applicable. All tender prices must be in US dollars. Two copies of proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope labeled “Heavy Equipment at the Pockwood Pond Dumpsite” by 4:00 p.m. on June 30, 2025, to the Department of Waste Management, Union Property Building.
