The Government of the Virgin Islands has officially submitted its Self-Assessment Report on the Implementation of the Commission of Inquiry (COI) Recommendations, marking a major milestone in governance reform. Premier Hon. Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley announced the report’s approval by Cabinet (April 30), tabling in the House of Assembly (May 6), and submission to the UK Minister (May 8). The report, alongside Governor Pruce’s Final Review, will inform the UK’s decision on whether to lift the Order in Council, which had threatened partial suspension of the Constitution in 2022.
