The Department of Immigration is now accepting applications for the Student Vacation Visa Waiver Programme for the upcoming Christmas vacation period, December 2025.

Parents intending to take advantage of the Student Vacation Visa Waiver Programme should submit their application to the Department of Immigration three weeks prior to the intended date of arrival, for approval. Qualifying children under this programme should be no older than 17 years old and enrolled in primary or secondary school in their home country. The requirements are as follows:

• A written request from the residing parent for their child's entry;
• Proposed travel itinerary (with a departure date no later than December 31);
• Copy of parent(s) residing in the Territory passport bio page;
• Copy of parent(s) immigration entry permit;
• Accommodation verification in the form of a lease or letter from landlord indicating the space rented and details on all persons residing within the space (multi-family homes are to be noted);
• An official letter from the school the child currently attends, indicating closure and re-opening dates; and
• Child’s birth certificate (original or certified copy).
