Managing Director of the BVI Airports Authority Mr. Kurt Menal, is notifying the travelling public of the following airport closures today August 15 as a result of the passage of Hurricane Erin and on the advice of the Department of Disaster Management and the Antigua Meteorological Office.

 ▪ Virgin Gorda International Airport – 2:00 p.m. 

▪ Auguste George International Airport – 2:00 p.m. 

▪ Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport – 5:00 p.m. 

Mr. Menal has advised that all airports would remain closed until the “all clear” has been given and a complete assessment of each airport is conducted. He added that further information would be provided on the reopening of the airports subsequently. 

Passengers with confirmed travel for August 16 and 17 are asked to contact their respective airlines directly for further information.
