Press Release
Organisation:
The Department of Immigration is advising the public that the submission of paper conditional permit applications will conclude on 15 December 2025, as the Department prepares to transition to a digital application process.
As part of this transition, paper application submissions will be placed on hold from 16–31 December 2025. During this period, the Department will conclude the processing of current applications and finalize preparations for the launch of its enhanced online application.
The new digital application, which becomes effective on 1 January 2026, will streamline the application process, improve efficiency, and enhance service delivery to the public. Once launched, all conditional permit applications must be submitted online.
Acting Chief Immigration Officer, Mrs. Nadia Demming-Hodge said, “This transition is one step in our ongoing efforts to modernise the Department of Immigration’s services. Moving the conditional permit application process online is part of a broader, long-term commitment to digitising all of our services. By embracing technology, we aim to improve efficiency, strengthen transparency, and make our services more accessible to our clients.”
The Department apologizes for any inconvenience this temporary service pause may cause and expresses appreciation for the public’s understanding and support during this period of modernisation and transformation.
Members of the public with questions or requiring assistance, particularly in emergency cases, are encouraged to contact the Department of Immigration by email at immigrationinfo@gov.vg, in person, or by telephone at 284-494-4700 / 4703 / 4705.
