Committed to the Sister Island Workforce Development
The Department of Labour and Workforce Development will be hosting multiple industry meetings on Virgin Gorda on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, as part of its continued commitment to fostering stronger collaboration and engagement with stakeholders across the Territory.
The sessions will be held at the conference room of the Flax Administration Building, Virgin Gorda, and forms part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to promote economic development and strengthen communication channels within the community.
To encourage broad participation and facilitate focused dialogue, the engagement will be conducted in staggered sessions tailored to specific sectors. The schedule is as follows:
- 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Agents
- 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Bar and Club Owners
- 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Construction Business Owners
- 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Barbershop and Salon Owners
Each session is designed to create a platform for meaningful discussions that address the unique needs, challenges, and opportunities within each sector. The Department anticipates that these targeted engagements will generate actionable insights and strengthen partnerships between the Government and the Virgin Gorda business community.
The Department is encouraging all invited stakeholders to attend and actively participate in the discussions, as their input will be instrumental in advancing shared goals of economic resilience, community development and digital transformation.
