The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, is inviting tenders for the installation of a Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) air conditioning system at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola

The project is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and modernise learning environments, ensuring students and teachers have safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient classrooms.

The scope of works includes the installation and commissioning of VRV systems to cool 15 classrooms in A Block. Each classroom will be equipped with a 36,000 BTU ceiling cassette unit, connected to outdoor condensers mounted on reinforced concrete slabs. Contractors will be required to install refrigerant piping, protective ducting, condensate drainage, and all electrical connections in compliance with building and safety codes.

Tenderers will also be responsible for pressure testing, leak detection, and full system commissioning, as well as training school maintenance staff in basic operations. A scheduled maintenance plan covering quarterly cleaning, bi-annual inspections, and annual servicing will also be required.

Tenderers must submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of the tender and supporting documents in a sealed envelope clearly marked, “Installation of Air Conditioning Units at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS)”.
