Organisation:
The Environmental Health Division of the Ministry of Health and Social Development will host a mandatory training session for all water processing and distribution companies operating in the British Virgin Islands.
The session will focus on reinforcing best practices in water purification and water quality management and will introduce key updates on licensing, certification, health and safety standards, and water quality regulations. This initiative forms part of the Environmental Health Division’s ongoing efforts to ensure the production and delivery of safe drinking water to residents throughout the Territory.
Participants will obtain a Food Handler Certificate in Water Safety/Operation—a critical requirement for operational licensing.
All proprietors and staff of water processing and distribution systems are required to attend the training, scheduled for August 19 at 5:00 p.m. in the Elmore Stoutt High School Lecture Room. Confirmation of attendance is requested by August 15 and can be sent via email to ehd@gov.vg.
