 Ministry of Finance Announces Changes to Consent to Restore Requests

The Ministry of Finance has announced the introduction of an important change to the submission process for Consent to Restore Requests for the Financial Services Industry.

Effective 31 July 2026, the Consent to Restore Requests will no longer be accepted via email and must instead be submitted through the Company Restoration Portal via link (click here). 

Financial Secretary Mr. Jerimiah Frett said, “Stakeholders are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the portal and its submission requirements prior to the effective date. Guidance on the submission process is available in the attached Company Restoration Portal Guidance Handout”

Requests submitted via the restoration email after this date will not be processed and applicants will be directed to submit their requests through the portal.

Persons are notified that this change applies only to Consent to Restore Requests.  Documents such as sealed court orders, court applications, and general restoration-related correspondence and enquiries do not require submission through the Company Restoration Portal, and will continue to be submitted via the restoration email at restorationsbvi@gov.vg
