The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports advises the public that the 2025–2026 academic year will officially commence as follows:

• Professional Day for Educators will be held on Monday, 25th August at 9:00 a.m. at the Multipurpose Sports Complex.
• Summer Institute for Educators will take place from Tuesday, 26th to Friday, 29th August at the Elmore Stoutt High School, Lower Estate Campus from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
• Primary Schools will reopen on Monday, 8th September for all students.

• Secondary Schools will reopen on Monday, 8th September, with student orientations scheduled between 1st and 5th September. 

   

Parents are advised that schools will provide specific orientation schedules.
