The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, is inviting tenders for the supply and installation of six (6) air conditioning units at the Alexandrina Maduro Primary School in Baugher’s Bay, Tortola.

The works, which are expected to be completed within a four-week period, form part of ongoing efforts to ensure that learning environments remain safe, modern, and conducive to student success. 

The scope of works includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of one 5-ton ceiling duct system, two 5-ton floor-ceiling units, and the installation of three 24,000 BTU wall-mounted split units to be provided by the Ministry. The contractor will also be responsible for supplying all necessary installation materials, performing electrical and refrigerant connections, and ensuring all units meet manufacturer specifications, building codes, and energy efficiency standards. 

As part of the procurement process, all tenderers are required to attend a mandatory site visit scheduled for Monday, 6th October, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alexandrina Maduro Primary School. This will allow bidders to assess existing conditions and verify the requirements of the works. 

Tenderers must submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of the tender and supporting documents in a sealed envelope clearly marked, “Supply and installation of six (6) AC Units at the Alexandrina Maduro Primary School (AMPS)”.
