You may apply to extend your visit if:
- You entered the Territory legally as a visitor
- Your current stay has not yet expired
- You are not engaged in employment or business in the BVI
- You can demonstrate a valid reason for requesting additional time
- You can provide proof of sufficient financial support during your extended stay
- You have accommodation arranged and no immigration violations on record

Gather Required Documents

Prepare the following documentation:
- Passport (valid for at least 6 months)
- Entry stamp and details of current visitor status
- Letter stating the reason for the extension request
- Proof of accommodation (e.g. hotel reservation or letter from host)
- Return/onward travel itinerary

Visit Your Port of Entry and Attend Interview

- Requests for extensions must be submitted in person at your Port of Entry
- You may be asked to attend an interview or provide additional documents depending on the reason for your extension.
- An Immigration Officer will review your request and assess your eligibility.

- If approved, you will receive an extension endorsement in your passport.
- If denied, you will be advised of your options and expected departure date.
