Climate Change Trust Fund Board
The Climate Change Trust Fund Board (CCTFB) supports projects that build climate resilience and promote sustainability. It funds initiatives in renewable energy, conservation, and adaptation to protect the environment and vulnerable sectors.
Our Commitment to Serve
The Climate Change Trust Fund Board (CCTFB) is a key institution in the British Virgin Islands, established to address the urgent and growing challenges of climate change. Our mission is to support initiatives that promote climate resilience, sustainable development, and environmental stewardship across the BVI. Through strategic funding and collaboration, the Board ensures that the most vulnerable sectors—such as agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure, and tourism—are protected and adapted to the changing climate.
The CCTFB oversees the Climate Change Trust Fund, a financial mechanism dedicated to supporting local projects that mitigate climate risks, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance community resilience. By funding renewable energy projects, conservation efforts, and sustainable practices, we aim to foster a low-carbon, climate-resilient future for the Virgin Islands.
Comprised of environmental experts, community leaders, and government representatives, the Board works in close partnership with regional and international agencies. Together, we leverage expertise, resources, and innovation to ensure the BVI remains at the forefront of climate action in the Caribbean.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to sustainable growth, climate justice, and the preservation of the BVI’s natural beauty and biodiversity for future generations.
