All vessel operators, charter companies, visiting charters, and bareboaters are reminded of their legal obligation to report all marine accidents and incidents occurring in Virgin Islands waters.

The Marine Safety Investigation and Reporting Authority (MSIRA) is reminding vessel operators and maritime stakeholders across the Virgin Islands that reporting marine accidents and incidents is a legal requirement under the Virgin Islands Merchant Shipping (Accident Reporting and Investigation) Regulations, 2020.

The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports is encouraging public support for early childhood development during Early Childhood Awareness Week 2025, featuring daily spotlight videos on centres across the Virgin Islands. Parent workshops titled “Step it up: Early Intervention, Long Lasting Impact” will be held on May 27 at BFEC Primary in Virgin Gorda and on May 28 at ESHS Lecture Room 1 in Tortola, both from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Additionally, a panel discussion on early childhood will be streamed live tomorrow on the Government’s Facebook page at BVIGovernment.
