On April 15, 2025, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI) held a successful diplomatic meeting in St. Thomas to strengthen maritime collaboration. Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) and H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) are partnering to host the Annual College Fair on February 13, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM at the Multipurpose Sports Complex. The fair will feature representatives from 21 colleges and universities worldwide, offering students a chance to explore higher education opportunities. Chief Education Officer Mrs. Orlandette Crabbe highlighted the impact of this collaboration, bridging secondary and post-secondary education. HLSCC President Dr. Richard Georges also praised the partnership. The event is open to the public, with opportunities for on-the-spot acceptance and scholarships. It will feature institutions, including 17 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Missouri Southern University, and St. George’s University.
