VI Government Seeks Qualified Professionals to Remove and Install Roof for Medical Centre in VG.
The Government of the Virgin Islands invites suitably qualified, professional, and experienced contractors to submit sealed proposals for the removal of the existing roof covering and the installation of a roofing membrane at the Nurse Iris O’Neal Medical Centre, Virgin Gorda.
The scope of works includes the complete removal and replacement of the existing waterproofing membrane covering an area of approximately 8,500 square feet.
The proposed works comprise of providing all plant, labour, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection with the inspection the full extent of the concrete roof area, and to protect existing structure and finishes during work execution including equipment and air-conditioning units.
The successful tenderer is expected to remove all existing roof membrane from joints, flashings, and penetrations on the concrete roof surface, include parapets and around plant/equipment. The membrane is to be transported to an approved landfill for disposal. Prepare substrate to receive new membrane as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
The tender to be prepared shall comprise the following documents, as applicable and as specified in the tender documents and the tender data sheet. A completed form of a list of projects undertaken by the tenderer or Key Personnel within the past five (5) years. A list of current contract commitments/work in progress form.
Tender documents will be available upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Removal of Existing Roof Covering and Installation of a Roof Membrane at the Nurse Iris O’Neal Medical Centre, Virgin Gorda.”
Tenderers are advised that the destination mailbox is NOT automated to send tenderers a dated and time acknowledgement of receipt and delivery of their message.
A pre-tender meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 18th February, 2026 at 10:00 am local time at The Flax Administrative Building Conference Room, Virgin Gorda.
The pre-tender meeting is not mandatory; however, it is recommended that each Tenderer attend. Each Tenderer must be fully informed regarding all existing and expected conditions and matters relating, which might affect the cost of performance of the Contract. Failure to fully assess all associated costs, shall not relieve the Tenderer of the responsibility to properly evaluate the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the Contract
