Our Mission Statement
The Marine Safety Investigation and Reporting Authority is dedicated to conducting thorough investigations into maritime accidents and incidents to determine their root causes. The authority produces reports that include recommendations aimed at enhancing maritime safety, improving maritime laws and practices, raising awareness about the causes of marine accidents, and promoting international compliance with the IMO Casualty Investigation Code and other maritime conventions.

- Maintain compliance with international maritime conventions and best practices to support safe navigation and effective accident response.
- Provide practical and evidence-based safety recommendations arising from investigations which will inform improvements in laws and regulations.
