Press Release
Organisation:
The Ministry of Health and Social Development is inviting the public to experience wellness in a new way at the BVI Wellness Fest 2026, scheduled for Saturday, November 7.
The community event will bring together health, fitness, nutrition, prevention and family activities in one space, giving residents an opportunity to explore practical ways to improve their overall health and wellbeing.
The Fest forms part of BVI Moves, Towards a Healthier Virgin Islands initiative, encouraging healthier lifestyles by creating more opportunities for residents to make wellness a part of everyday life.
Public Health Officer, Ms. Renee Leonard said that the event is designed to make wellness accessible, practical and enjoyable. “Healthy living does not have to be complicated. There are simple things that we can do every day to take better care of ourselves and our families. BVI Wellness Fest gives residents an opportunity to explore those choices, access useful information and discover what wellness can look like in their own lives.”
Residents will have opportunities to participate in fitness and movement activities, access health screenings and information, learn more about healthy eating and connect with health and wellness professionals and community partners.
Activities will also be available for families and children, creating an environment where residents of different ages can participate and learn together.
“BVI Wellness Fest is for everyone, Ms. Leonard said. You do not have to be a fitness enthusiast or already have everything figured out. Come as you are, learn something new and find one thing that you can incorporate into your life.”
BVI Wellness Fest 2026 will take place on Saturday, November 7 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Queen Elizabeth II Park
The Ministry of Health and Social Development remains committed to protecting and promoting the health and social well-being of the people of the Virgin Islands through effective policies, sustainable programmes, and strategic partnerships that support a safe, healthy, and resilient society.
