The Government of the Virgin Islands will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the late H. Lavity Stoutt’s life on 2nd March 2025, under the theme "Heroes Live Forever." The commemoration includes a concert at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, showcasing local talent, and a Wreath Laying Ceremony at Cappoons Bay Cemetery on 3rd March. Stoutt, the Territory's first Chief Minister, is remembered for his contributions, including the cruise ship pier, Central Administration Complex, and the local community college. His birthday on 7th March is a public holiday in his honor.
