To ensure affordability of basic necessities, the Government of The Virgin Islands has introduced a temporary adjustment of duties on a defined Basket of Goods. 

For a three-month period beginning May 2026, the cost of nearly 100 essential items will either be reduced or duties eliminated. 

This measure is designed to maintain access to food and household necessities across the Virgin Islands.
