The Department of Waste Management is advising residents in the West End and Carrot Bay communities that operational challenges have resulted in temporary disruptions to scheduled garbage collection services within these areas.

The Department is actively working to address the issue and restore normal collection services as quickly as possible. In the interim, where feasible, the Department will deploy its own garbage truck and collection team to provide service to affected communities until operational difficulties experienced by the contractor have been resolved.

The Department of Waste Management sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these disruptions and thanks residents for their continued patience, cooperation, and understanding while the matter is being resolved.
