The Government of the Virgin Islands invites tenders for the construction of the access gate for the Pockwood Pond Dumpsite. 

The successful contractor would be required to construct access gate with the specifications below at the Pockwood Pond Dumpsite.

Sliding Gate

• Dimensions: 22ft 6 inches wide by 6 1/2 feet (inclusive of walk through gate 2ft 6inches wide x 6ft tall)   

Construction 

• Outer frame fabricated from galvanized steel minimum section size 4 in x 4 in square or  four inch diameter round section acceptable
• All steel surfaces must be primed and finished with anti-rust paint

Installation

• Gate must be securely mounted to existing post on site
• Both main swing gate and walk through gate much be outfitted with appropriate locking mechanisms. 

Tenderers are required to furnish the following:

1. Trade License (valid for 2025)
2. Certificate of Good Standing for Social Security, National Health Insurance and             Inland Revenue
3. Certificate of Good Standing from the Commercial Registry
4. Quotation for work with detailed breakdown of cost
5. Methodology for the construction of the gate
6. Delivery period 

All tenderers are asked to attend a mandatory site visit on 11 November, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.   

Tenders will be evaluated according to the following: Methodology 20 points, Delivery Period 10 points, Experience of the company with similar scope 20 points, Financial Proposal (Value for Money) - 50 points 

Respondents are asked submit their proposals in sealed envelopes due on 25 November, 2025 at the office of the Department of Waste Management located on the second floor of the Union Property Building across from the Happy Lion Restaurant.
