Who Can Apply

You can apply for a transfer if you:

  • are already registered to vote in the Virgin Islands;
  • are ordinarily resident in the Virgin Islands; and
  • have moved your place of residence from one electoral district or polling division to another.

You must provide proof that you live at your new address.

What You Need

You will need to provide:

  • your name;
  • your current address and occupation;
  • the electoral district or polling division where you are currently registered;
  • the electoral district or polling division to which you are transferring;
  • your former address;
  • your new address; and
  • documentation confirming your new address.

 

Proof of your new address

Supporting documents may include:

  • cable bill;
  • water bill;
  • electricity bill;
  • telephone bill;
  • rent receipt;
  • lease agreement; or
  • notarised document stating your new address.

The Supervisor of Elections must be satisfied that you reside within the electoral district or polling division to which you are requesting a transfer.

Before you submit your application

You must complete the Applicant Personal Information Form and submit it with this form.

How to Apply

  1. Complete Form No. 9 – Application for Transfer of Registration.
  2. Enter the electoral district or polling division where you are currently registered and the district or polling division where you now live.
  3. Provide your former and current residential addresses.
  4. Attach documentation confirming your change of address.
  5. Sign the declaration before an authorised witness.
  6. Submit the completed application and supporting documents to the Office of the Supervisor of Elections.
