The Ministry of Finance Budget Estimate

The Ministry of Finance produces a Recurrent Budget Estimate of the Territory’s Revenue and Expenditure expected for the year. The Budget Estimate contains mostly the Budget Address, written and given by the Ministry of Finance; and also contains the Economic and Fiscal Outlook for the year.

The fiscal year of the Government of Virgin Islands runs from January 1 to December 31. The budget estimates contains the sums of money approved by the Legislature in the annual Appropriation Act for and towards defraying the charges and expenses for the services of the Government.
