The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that the Blackburn Highway from Parham Town to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic from Monday, January 26 to Tuesday, January 27, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Department of Disaster Management is informing the public that the National Siren System and National Emergency Broadcast System will be tested today, Friday, 23rd January at 2:00 pm. The test is carried out on the fourth Friday of every month.
The Department of Agriculture is asking all handicraft producers who are interested in entering the Farmers’ Week 2015 competitions to note that entries for the handicraft category, of the Tortola exhibitions can be submitted to the Department of Agriculture on Friday, January 23. The deadline for submission of entries is Wednesday, January 28 at 3:00 p.m.
The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that the Blackburn Highway from Parham Town to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Thursday January 22 to Friday January 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The purpose of the closure is to pave and rehabilitate the road in that area.
Traffic will be redirected through the Parham Town road. Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traversing the area.
The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting the general public to the Official Opening Ceremony for Farmers’ Week, Friday, January 30, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at the Department of Agriculture main office in Paraquita Bay, Tortola. Activities will be held from January 30 through February 6. The public is invited to attend and support all exhibitions and events for Farmers’ Week 2015.
