Clearing of vessels (Air & Sea) Private or Commercial

Process

In-bound

Step 1:  The Agent/Captain reports to the Customs Office where a determination of the type of vessel (Private or Commercial) will be made.

Step 2:  An evaluation of applicable fees are made.

Step 3:  Payment of fees, based on the vessel’s length, tonnage and other fees are made. 

Step 4:  Customer receives receipt of payment; and retain receipts  and documents for inspection.

Out-bound

Step 1:  The Agent/Captain first present the Manifest (Private or Commercial), for goods leaving the country and is asked required questions.

Step 2:  An inspection may be performed based on responses.

Step 3:  If Custom Officer is satisfied with everything presented, the vessel is free to leave the territory. (Vessel must leave within 24 hours)

Additional Notes

  • For Ferry Services, the companies must have a valid Ferry Licence and is required to submit a Manifest for the passengers on board. 
  • Certain goods must be approved by the relevant government agencies.
