Hotel Aid is governed by the Hotel Aid Ordinance (Cap 290) and the Hotel Aid (Amendment) Act, 2005. Properties used to accommodate short stay guests as a business and comprising of three or more bedrooms may be eligible for Hotel Aid.


Step 1: Submit a completed application form along with a self-explanatory cover letter and required documents. (to the Premier’s Office)

Step 2: The application is reviewed and acknowledged.

Step 3: The application is processed to other governmental agencies for comments/approval.

Step 4: If approved or denied, the applicant will be informed.

Step 5: Once approved, the applicant can import the designated items duty free.

  • Certificate of Incorporation (where applicable)
  • Lists of Items to be imported.
