The public is urged to remain vigilant amid recent increases in COVID-19 positive cases and the recent identification of the Omicron variant which has been discovered in Africa and other countries and is a new variant of concern. Persons are asked to remain vigilant and adhere to COVID-19 public health protocols during the upcoming festive season. Practice social distancing, wear masks correctly and sanitise hands as frequently as possible during mass gatherings.
