The Conservation and Fisheries Department is encouraging all persons to attend the annual Environment Month’s Fisherman’s Day activities at Long Bay Beach, Beef Island, scheduled for Monday, June 29.

The annual fishing tournament starts at 4:00 a.m. Then from 11:00 a.m. onwards there will be several activities and events for all ages, including the fishing tournament judging, fashion show and live Vendor’s Fish Cook-off. Food and craft vendors will be present and entertainment will be provided by local DJs and local bands.

Fisherman’s Day 2015 marks the twenty-sixth year of Fisherman’s Day and commemorative t-shirts are available on sale.
