The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting the public to come out to the grand opening of Tortola Pier Park on Tuesday, February 16 where a selection of events is slated for the big day.

The opening of Tortola Pier Park will be marked as a historic milestone in the Territory’s tourism sector and will feature cultural dance, fashion shows, music, games and prizes, face painting and a spectacular parade.

The schedule of events for the day is as follows:

• 7:30 a.m. -     Music by Oren Hodge
• 10:00 a.m. -  Music by Shooting Stars
• 10:00 a.m. -  Face Painting at Diamonds International
• 2:00 p.m. -     Music by Razor Blades
• 3:30 p.m. -     Cultural Parade  along Park Lane, Tortola Pier Park
• 4:15 p.m. -     Music by Razor Blades
• 4:30 p.m. -     Fashion Show UMI
• 5:15 p.m. -     Official Opening Ceremony of Tortola Pier Park)
• 7:00 p.m. -     VIBE
• 7:00 p.m. -     Raffle and Free champagne in front of Klass Electronics
• 7:00 p.m. -     Entertainment on Boardwalk next to Myett's bar
• 10:00 p.m.-    End of live music at Tortola Pier Park

All are welcome to join in this all-day event as the Government and people of the Virgin Islands celebrate this historic milestone.
