A team of officials from the Ministries of Education and Culture and Health and Social Development and volunteers collecting data from students in grades two and three at the Francis Lettsome Primary School as part of the Healthy Lifestyle School Intervention programme.

The programme seeks to improve the health and academic performance of students by improving the diet and physical activity patterns of students through five behavioral changes of eating a variety of foods daily, eating breakfast daily, eating fruits and vegetables daily, reducing daily intake of fats, salts, sugary snacks and drinks, and engaging in a variety of physical activity.

The Healthy Lifestyle School Intervention programme will be integrated within core subjects of math, science, language and physical education and will concentrate primarily on nutrition and physical activity.

Parents and the wider community are encouraged to support the intervention.
