Representatives from the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) met with representatives from the British Overseas Territory last week to evaluate the Multi-Country Programming Annual Review. The countries represented included the Turks and Caicos Islands, Anguilla, Cayman Islands and Montserrat. Discussions were held on in country challenges and constraints; safety and justice for children; communications; social protection and child rights monitoring; and the overview of UN Policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse. Overseas Territories representatives were also able to develop their annual work plan on Child Safeguarding and Social Programming elements for the 2019 period.
