A team of health and medical professionals is pictured equipped and boarding a vessel headed over to Jost Van Dyke to carry out the Community COVID-19 testing. This comes after the Public Health COVID-19 Control and Suppressive Measures Jost Van Dyke Order 2020 came into force on July 21. The purpose of the order is to guard against, prevent or mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and the probable consequences associated with the detection of the virus with persons residing or visiting Jost Van Dyke. The public health order provides for a 24 hour curfew for 7 days, provisioning of adequate food and essential supplies for those adversely affected, and the restriction of vessels to and from Jost Van Dyke except with the permission of the Minister for Health and Social Development in consultation with the Joint Task Force. For more information on COVID-19 testing, call the Medical hotline at 852-7650 or visit www.bvi.gov.vg.
